Limited access to career counselors poses a significant challenge in Pakistan, as these services are predominantly found only in elite schools. This leaves students in lower-income areas without the guidance they desperately need. Compounding this issue is a lack of awareness; many students remain uninformed about the various career options available, often relying on outdated societal norms or familial expectations when making decisions about their futures. Furthermore, schools frequently lack the necessary resources to provide adequate career counseling, resulting in students facing uncertainty and confusion regarding their career paths. The primary demographic affected by these challenges is high school students aged 13-19, mainly from lower to middle socioeconomic backgrounds. Many of these students lack exposure to diverse career options and feel pressured to conform to traditional expectations, limiting their ability to explore their potential.
